Pros

UNDP has a strong moral component to its work and values a genuine commitment in its associates to making the world a better place. UNDP is at the heart of countless partnerships across the globe designed at promoting sustainable development, with local initiative and leadership.

Cons

UNDP, like many UN organs, is criticised for the high level of bureaucracy. There is a strong emphasis on results, which lead to redundant reporting and excessive amounts of information that can occasionally obscure trends of work being done on the ground.
