Pros

I have been part of many companies, but one thing that Verseone has is the people. A brilliant collective that will listen to you and give all the opportunities to progress and improve. Their work ethic will rub off on you very quickly and before you know you will be looking forward to coming and working with your colleagues and enjoying the banter. Love working at this place.

Cons

The market is very niche for the product so there ups and downs when it comes to being effective in a project or sales. Adaptability is something that every member needs but its not always easy to find.

Pros

Having worked at VerseOne for 7 years (my first role in the tech industry), I can honestly say the experience was both fulfilling and rewarding in many ways. Serving noble sectors such as the NHS and Social Housing, you feel part of an alumni-style network of high-profile clients across the UK, making a real positive impact on the wider community. I started as a Junior Developer, and my personal growth was huge. As you’d expect, there was plenty of onboarding time to get familiar with the systems before being entrusted with full projects for both new and existing clients. The close-knit teams are welcoming and nurturing, with lots of cross-department collaboration — you’ll know everyone in the company within a month! With a steady stream of projects and varied clients, there’s genuinely never a dull moment. The move to the new offices in central Woking was also a great bonus — you couldn’t ask for a better location. As with most things in life, you get out what you put in. Thanks to the relatively flat management structure and size of the company, good ideas are actually heard — and if they’re strong, they get implemented fast. As part of the delivery/technical team, I got exposure to many other areas of the business — from front-end development and content management, to on-the-fly design, customer training calls, and even company pitches — but I was never pushed out of my comfort zone unwillingly. At the time of my departure, VerseOne’s trajectory was genuinely exciting, and I was sad to leave what I can only describe as a forward-thinking and talented tech family. I plan to stay in touch with my friends at VerseOne — and like many before me, I hope to drop by for a post-work catchup from time to time. Thanks to everyone there for a fantastic experience! 😊

Cons

Smaller staffing levels can lead to tighter turnarounds which can impact one's ability to go above and beyond. There often feels like there aren't enough hours in the day.
