Pros

- Learn essential clinical techniques including barrier nursing, laboratory skills, safe handling, anaesthetic monitoring, autoclave use, recovery of patients, cleaning protocols, veterinary terminations. - Hands on with animals - Opportunity to complete Veterinary Nursing qualification (you need the entry requirements and to pay for it) - Can take on extra responsibilities such as equipment maintenance, ordering stock, holding your own consultations

Cons

- Extremely long days - Some training provided to begin with but are then expected to work solely alone with an ever growing list of responsibilities with little to no support - At times a very hostile environment - Varying hours of work including early mornings and late evenings - Far too much expected for such a low wage

Pros

I have worked with vets4pets for 7 years and can still happily say I love going to work each and everyday. Each day brings a new challenge- especially during these trying times and the team work has been phenomenal... it really is a second family. You also get your birthdays off each year and have a good holiday and CPD allowance

Cons

You may be required to work long hours but this usually comes with two days off together.
