I worked as an intern at VEM for 8 months but the experience and skills I got out of it feel more like multiple years worth. Interns take on a lot of meaningful responsibility and the payoff to making a difference for a real company is immense. This was my first internship in college and without it, I would not have gotten the interviews, connections and follow up internship at my dream role.

If you are coming from Austin, the commute to Bee Cave is about 35 minutes (without traffic). Depending on deadlines, you may have to work a bit outside of your hours, but that is the industry we work in.

You learn so much. All of what you learn will benefit you in you future job search and career. You can also pick your times to work, you just have to input your times for the week on your sprint. You always have access to help if you need it. Everyone wants to see you succeed.

This internship can be stressful at times. You also need to be prepared for the pay. It is a monthly stiped and incentive based so do not take this position if you are looking to make a lot of money. Some weeks you might have to work longer than others. If it is a busy time, be prepared to devote an extra hour or so to wrap up things for the day.
