-Workplace Culture: Post-pandemic, the professional standards at WRD went downhill. The environment transitioned into a "high-school" atmosphere where unprofessional conduct is frequently excused as "banter." The lack of clear boundaries creates an uncomfortable dynamic for those expecting a mature workplace. Clients: Directors prioritise retention at any cost, often at the expense of employee well-being. Many clients are 'low-budget, high-demand' who are permitted to bypass contractual boundaries, including delayed payments and the mistreatment of staff. High-tier agencies would likely offboard these accounts, but WRD clings to them out of necessity. Stagnant Revenue & Unrealistic Targets: There is a clear struggle to acquire new, quality business. This has resulted in a "desperation" phase where the agency over-services low-value clients to prop up revenue. Lack of Leadership Accountability: Senior leadership is fundamentally unsupportive. In my experience, raising a legitimate grievance results in "gaslighting" or the issue being turned back on the employee. Leaders here prefer to alienate the person reporting a problem rather than address the root cause. The agency has lost some of the better or more talented members of staff due to unsupportive leadership. Technical Stagnation: The agency is stuck in low-level execution. Because the clients lack the budget for sophisticated campaigns, staff are denied exposure to advanced digital marketing strategies. Your skillset is likely to hit a ceiling quickly here. Substandard Facilities: The office infrastructure is neglected. Working with outdated equipment in a rundown environment further reflects the lack of investment in the business and its people.

If you're up for working hard and having a lot of fun at the same time, WRD is an amazing workplace to thrive at.
