Pros

- Many people seemed nice. - WFH

Cons

It is not a friendly place to work. The management is cold and quick to judge you for small mistakes without clear communication or guidance. If you have questions, they will treat you like you are not prepared and tell you that they have no time. You will hardly get any recognition for the work you do. Although promotions are unlikely in a small team structure, they will keep telling you to be ambitious. They rely heavily on the reputation of the New York Times to acquire talent, although recently, many people have been leaving, especially people of color. They create a climate of fear and intimidation. HR will listen to you, but you can't expect any change in management. Work here if you want to give up your mental health for "the highest standard in the industry."

Pros

They try to lure you in with work-from-home and work-life balance. However, in my opinion, the latter is not true.

Cons

The company culture seems to be driven by old boys' club influences. Even if you work hard, you will get overlooked or dismissed because of the connections of certain leaders. What they claim to be selling is not who they truly are. It's best to read through the reviews to get a better understanding of the situation - not everyone is disgruntled and wrong. The company lacks a clear leadership strategy, and those who have been there for a long time tend to ensure that you do not pose a threat to them, even if it means stepping over others. They may lie to your face and pretend everything is fine, but they will tell their supervisors a different story. It's not about achieving results or making an impact; it's all about having the right connections.
