Pros

Discounted accessories and VERIZON discounts plans.

Cons

You will be hired on being told about the money you will make here. It's a lie. The average person will make about 2-4% commission before tax and Deductions. Which there will be plenty of and no one will actually be able to explain why it happened. You are also not told the correct information for the job you are applying for. You're actually applying to sell mobile broadband, home internet, tablets, devices for vehicle maintenance, and to be a business representative, where you are required to call email and close business lines. However they only want to pay you as a sales rep. Even if you managed to close one of these business accounts there are Business teams that Hound you everyday from open to close about how you need to call them and provide them with information so they can take credit for the sales and get a portion of your commission. Because after working with them for two years I have yet to see what they actually do in their roles. Its common practice to mislead about pricing and fees. As well as increasing the price of accessories to raise stats so you can hit your daily goals that for some locations are not achievable and you will receive calls about it even after you punch out for the day. Your days off do not protect you from constant calls, text and tagging in group chats and if you are unresponsive you will be informally reprimanded. They cut the hours of every employee at the start of every year to a non financially stable level and when the entire staff quits and you are the only employee left you will be yelled at if you get overtime despite not being the one in charge of scheduling. The location you are hired in is not the one you will be working at. Expect within the first few months to be driving to a different location without proper compensation. No raise system and you have to fight for every cent increase and does not change with inflation/minimum wage increases. If you move to salary your hours will go up between 45-50 hours that must be on camera. Bathroom breaks, lunches, taking out trash and driving between stores will not count towards these hours and you will be on call from 8 am to 10 pm everyday. Turn over is so high that you will work will 30+ staff although your store will never have more than 3-5 employed at any given time. The problem with high turn over is when someone messes up a customers account it will then fall on those who are there to resolve the issue and sometimes these problems can have lengthy resolutions. And because you are not selling to this customer it will negatively affect your numbers and may cause a loss of a sale to another employee. Management is not always the best quality and often are promoted due to simply being there from the high turn over or hired on in the role to put up some big numbers then they quickly leave once they see commission payout. Many staff/managers are on rotation from other carriers/retailers and in my experience lead to problems or short term employment. Poor management leads to poor training of staff where they are taught to unknowingly commit what can best described as fraud. Your job/position is constantly being threatened and there is never a moment where you can feel secure in your employment. There have been cases of customers not receiving receipts because of malicious sales practices that are not necessarily encouraged but are turned a blind eye to. Always ask for your receipt especially for a trade in. Lastly although I'm sure I am missing something. There was a major issue with a very high person in the company having inappropriate relationships with some of the staff members. It was a known issue but was only swept under the rug until it started to escalate to a higher level. Part of the reason why it took so long is there is no HR department to speak of that really anyone knows how to get ahold of. It is the same people that you call for tech support, Rebiz. Leaving this job was the highlight of my employment and taught me one valuable lesson. Shop Online. A sales person doesnt care about you.
