I have been working at Equinox Fitness part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free gym membership, discounts on personal training, genuinely cool coworkers

    Cons

Literally zero regard for anything you do outside of Equinox. Wouldn't give me bereavement time for my grandfather's funeral - as if I could plan to request that time off a month in advance, obviously you don't plan for death. I also work a 9-5 job and they tried to give me excessive hours on top of this giving me 12 hour days to work which is unreasonable.

I worked at Equinox Fitness part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free gym membership if you ever find the time to utilize it.

    Cons

Employees are overworked with many tasks. Breaks are extremely short and unpaid for a company that does phenomenal financially. Management ignores requests to find solutions for balancing workload. You get tasked with work that should be done elsewhere and by someone else within the company. Biased and unreasonable management. Former work experience apparently means nothing to them. Company makes sure you don't go above overtime so they save money.

I have been working at Equinox Fitness part-time for more than a year

    Pros

free gym membership (only during the hours of which they dictate),

    Cons

honestly a terrible job and often times seen as being replaceable under the guise of working in a elite gym. This gym will hire anyone under the title of "worlds greatest trainers". Floor shifts are minimum wage, as they charge upward of $110 per session you will only see $27 starting out (then $32 or so). Management (also overworked) will be of little help to you as they are only there to propel the machine of Equinox to garner as much income as possible. Through the year I have worked there, no one has ever asked how my clients are progressing. They are about members as only as they receive your credit card. Secondly, as Equinox promotes to be a space of equality, there is no gym located outside of an elite white space where overwhelmingly the members will be wealthy (or aspire to look wealthy) and white. As they were called out during the Trump fundraiser, the company poorly executed a $1M dollar donation toward affiliated charities while excuse the +$10M donation toward the Trump administration rooted in preserving the status quo that equinox closely aligns toward.

I have been working at Equinox Fitness full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Free gym membership. -Great job for networking. -Friendly coworkers. -Great parties. -Teaches you to create and maintain your own business.

    Cons

-Income levels depend on the season. -Low base pay and high goals force you to work long hours to make sure you can bonus. -The turnover so is ridiculously high (only 3 or 4 of the 35+ people in my sales training were still around after 6 months) that at one point we had a different manager every other month.
