I worked at Event Cinemas part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Extra pocket money nothing else beside free movies. There are no Pros... I have more Cons than Pros

    Cons

Working with high school drop out management team who careless about their staff beside wanting their bonuses. Worked for the company as a part timer since for over 10 years and when you send a resignation letter you get no response back nor a simple thank you.

I worked at Event Cinemas part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Employees can see a number of movies for free each month, this helps when it comes to telling customers what movies are about. The

    Cons

Shifts are more and more frequently getting cut short or cut before the shift even starts. Some weeks a roster is not even sent out to some employees, this is hard for people as this is their only source of income.

I have been working at Event Cinemas

    Pros

Cruisy job, fits around uni very well with the split shift rostering. Above award hourly pay rate as well. Very very boring through quiet seasons

    Pros

Great Environment, Friendly Staff at my location, Managers are great and work is very decent for the pay you get. Especially at a young age. Extremely Cheap movie tickets and food also

    Cons

If you want staff benefits you gotta work at least 1 shift a week at the workplace. Good luck to any casuals that want cheap movie tickets.

    Pros

Management try hard to look out for their staff. The supervisors are usually well trained.

    Cons

Be aware that you'll be on your feet for long hours, if you can handle that then this is a good job for you.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Event Cinemas

    Pros

-Some truly wonderful staff work here. Really, some solid people who you can rely on, even given the understaffing by management. -Free movies, sort of.

    Cons

    - Under-appreciation of GC staff, who deal with the rudest customers on the face of the Earth. All done with a smile on their faces. I don't work in Kitchen, but the people in kitchen work relentlessly for hours on end, but I'm told they never receive any praise - management must think that all this food must appear out of thin air and arrive to their patrons, at specific times, to sold-out cinemas, on multiple days. From observation, this is more than likely because the staff in kitchen never see management, only get spoken at when a function is coming up, then they matter. - Your shifts can get cut after 3 hours if there's fewer customers. Which is kind of a kick in the teeth if it takes you more than an hour to get there, one way. - Morale. I've personally never had any run-ins with management, or had any personal problems with them. But my coworkers have, and their opinions should matter. Many, including myself, come to work knowing that it's going to be busy, knowing that it's going to be understaffed, and knowing they're going to be working the labour of 2 people or more and becoming immensely fatigued as a result. Try that for a few days on end.
