    Pros

the work is fun, no micro managing, use FCA products all day

    Cons

atmosphere can be negative, especially in regards to attitude toward management

    Advice to Management

make the relationship between managers/senior managers & engineers about "how can we work on this together" instead of constant discussion of potential blame if something goes wrong.

    Pros

Learn many skills in short period of time. Opportunity to where many hats and really affect the process

    Cons

Too many layers of management and difficult to get raises without being very vocal.

    Advice to Management

Countdown on the layers of management and streamline the process for faster results. Trust your newer workforce.

I have been working at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time

    Pros

Tons of knowledgeable people and some great people to work with. Has allowed movement to different areas of the company which provides great diversified experiences. Because everything is in one building, it is easy to access all the resources you need to get your job done.

    Cons

Layers of management can cause unrealistic expectations or non-value added work to be pushed on to working level employees. HR can be frustrating to deal with when discussing compensation/employment opportunity concerns. Generally speaking, things typically move pretty slow which adds pressure from management to tell everyone to hurry up, which is never an easy conversation

    Advice to Management

Need to think more long term and have a better plan moving forward so FCA can take advantage of synergies from other organizations to keep things moving.

I have been working at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

In general everyone working here seems pretty happy about their work and being here. I would say the best place to work between the 'Big 3'. The Headquaters facility is one of the best.

    Cons

    Nothing I can think of.

    Advice to Management

FCA has clear buisness plans and top management is transparent about it.

    Pros

The work is steady and there are opportunities to move around. Management is generally understanding of your situation and will work with you to achieve your goals.

    Cons

Company is always on shaky ground, rumors are always running around that we are being sold or merged into a new company. Makes your future a somewhat unknown.

    Advice to Management

Do not block employees from moving to a different opportunity in the company. In the long run, it benefits nobody.

    Pros

Compensated after 45 hours a week. Company car program is great. Benefits are competitive. Room to move up and advance in the company.

    Cons

The hours are long. Production environments run 6 days a week typically and you are expected to be there. Not much room for a life outside of work.

    Advice to Management

Delegate work to all people and hold them accountable. Don’t just assign work to the only people who get it done autonomously with little supervision.
