I worked at Fidelity International full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free Food. Working hours are less but work is also pathetic for a domain person.

    Cons

There is a very long list. Let me list few. 1. Never join if you are coming from some good investment banking work experience. 2. BA in this company is treated as a tester with domain experience. 3. 90% of the time of BA goes in testing. 4. Quality of work for BA is very very poor. 5. Join only when you consider this organization as final destination and don't want to switch furthur. 6. After working here for a year will never be able to switch in good investment banks like Credit Suisse, UBS, JP Morgan. 7. Work is secondary here primary work is politics. 8. Promotion is only given to people who knows how to play politics. 9. In short one of the worst organizations to work. 10. Defaulted even in full and final settlement.

I have been working at Fidelity International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1. You might find the salary above average 2. Transport and food provided

    Cons

    1. Very bad salary structure - You end up paying a lot of tax (compensated for higher salary). There is a bonus component to the salary and payout is very less. 2. The culture is not to appreciate people for their contribution. (This is not something I feel this is something told to me by multiple senior leaders) - I was given a feedback for provided a good pier review for a colleague during appraisal 3. The leader proudly claims that "Fidelity is different" but that fact of the statements is that Fidelity does not follow any of industry standard lingos, standards or practices. May it be nightmare of a new comer and any leaner here is not reusable 4. It is promoted as a culture that you succeed in Fidelity you need to have good networking - The real understanding of which is it makes not difference of how good or bad you work if you have good relationship around. So, everyone focuses on being the nice person and no one focuses on doing the right thing. 5. Worst of all the company does not encourage collaborations and openness.. Here is an example. I decided to immigrate and I got my leadership about it even before I applied. I did that with the hope of getting support in someway and a good mutual planning which will be good for both. The result, these seniors made the information public making it a nightmare for me + Despite discussion for an year and they bringing in a replacement, no relaxation on the notice period even if that meant I lost a good amount of bonus payout..
