    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Benefits are outstanding and compensation is more than fair.

    Cons

Extremely inconsistent leadership - senior staffing decisions are based mainly on degree to which the associate kowtows to CEO. The monthly announcements of executive staffing changes are responded to with a mix of "....what?" and head shaking. Was a great company but the Kool-aid factor has seriously weakened key skill sets at the highest level over the past 3-4 years

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Fidelity offers a competitive compensation package

    Cons

In the financial center I worked, the monthly review was a verbally abusive situation. It would involve personal insults and create a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" atmosphere. When achieving stated goals, you would be berated in the "way" you achieved the goals. The corporate culture at Fidelity claims an "open door" policy for its employee's. In reality, an employee is committing career suicide by complaining about an abusive situation. In my 25yrs as a financial professional, I have never worked in a more toxic unprofessional environment. Perhaps brought on by age discrimination.
