RecommendsPositive OutlookI have been working at FinancialForce for less than a year
Pros
- Refreshing culture, full of energy, lovely office. - Lots of investment in employees in terms of training. - Great recruitment process. - Coming to work is always a joy, never a chore :)
Cons
The office is situated on the outskirts of Harrogate (a lovely place), however this means the closest train station is a 30 minute walk/additional 20 minute bus journey. There is free parking on site though.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at FinancialForce full-time
Pros
Good to be in the salesforce space and ERP is a good idea on Salesforce without integrating
Cons
Products are separate and have to be knitted together. Management all jockeying for position and drives a blame culture

RecommendsPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at FinancialForce full-time for more than a year
Pros
Great Salary Unmatched work-life balance Great Office Great Team Mates - really committed intelligent people Solid Tech being on the SF platform Local leaderships doing a great job
Cons
Can feel a touch directionless at a global level - this has more to do with the distance issue than the actual companies direction. You really need to dig in here and get it done - those expecting an enterprise support model around them will feel lacking. We're a growing organisation that's still finding its feet regionally.

Pros
Camaraderie Flat management structure A feeling of worth Easy to connect and chat (And have a beer) with the CEO and any of the management team Your ideas count A disruptive tech company in hyper growth Seek forgiveness rather than permission Be accountable
Cons
Not a place to be if you need to be told what to do Not good if you want to corporate ladder - There isn't one Somewhat unstructured as there is a reliance on the individual to contribute

Negative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at FinancialForce for more than a year
Pros
PSA is a genuinely great product. There are a lot of great people working here and the benefits are competitive.
Cons
I’ve never worked somewhere that you have to play the politics game so much. How cool you are with management matters significantly more than competence and performance here. Being buddy buddy with a manager will get you the best territory, best pay plan, and generally best assignments. Pre pandemic there are so many social events where you would be pressured into going and drinking at. If you’d rather not you would be openly mocked and judged for it. Leadership would love to rail on Oracle yet they would only hire leaders from there. Turning what was a better culture into oracle 2.0. This new culture drove away top talent and will continue to do so.

Approves of CEOI have been working at FinancialForce full-time
Pros
The product has really matured in the last few years both in feature depth and quality. This is a testament to the development team and its leadership. Many hard-working, conscientious colleagues in the organization that are a joy to work with.
Cons
Senior leadership in certain areas of the business has been a revolving door. In some instances only lasting months at a time. This has led to some instability and a challenging work environment. Like many organizations, leaders tend to bring in people they've worked with before into leadership positions as well, this has made it difficult for many in some areas of the organization to get promoted internally. This probably affects existing employees that have been there a long time more than new employees.
