I have been working at GM Holden full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Working for Holden has a number of advantages - discounted vehicle purchases, access to cheap lease cars, decent bonus program (depending on level of employee), iconic brand.

    Cons

The brand is going through an identity crisis with the end of manufacturing nigh. Brand strategy is confused, sale of Opel/Vauxhall may limit future RHD product availability.

    Advice to Management

Focus on selling cars, not offending target markets for key vehicles like Colorado by calling it a Colorainbow!

I worked at GM Holden full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work. I learnt a lot about my chosen profession, and it definitely reinforced that it is the right career option for me. The company also places a lot of emphasis on work/life balance, and they run great teambuilding exercises during the year which I highly recommend you get involved in. I made some fantastic strong friendships during my time here.

    Cons

Pay for co-op students is not fantastic. It is not the most accessible location by public transport, and driving can take a while depending on which direction you're coming from. There is a lot of bureacracy which can get frustrating at times.
