      Management in another country makes all your decisions

      Pros

      Great coworkers, great industry, freedom and great work/life balance.

      Cons

      Gamesa Corporate made all of the decisions, US management couldn't get anything useful done without being blocked by Spain. Several years without building anything. Great projects sitting and ready to be built and aren't because they're not approved. The projects that are approved were ones that made no sense to build. No standards or processes in place. Not a tremendous amount of institutional knowledge.

      It is a job in a tough economy The management is understanding of work life balance Benefits are very good

      Sr. Management is quick to terminate US employees Performance management is very poor There is a lack of communication within the company as a whole
