Pros

The cons outweigh the pros.

Cons

Where to begin. It’s basically Little India. Was hired as part of a new contract with one of the big 4 banks. Had my salary matched with a little extra added however since then have come to learn genpact have hired a bunch of Indians for as little as $45-$50k a year to do the same job. The expectations that they set out with the amount of time they give is just inhumane and impossible unless you cut corners on the quality of your work. There was very little to no communication, the team leaders I had during my time at genpact always seemed to never know what day it was let alone their ACTUAL job. In saying that team leaders were also the middle person between us (workers) and other “managers” who had ZERO understanding of the job themselves let alone our names. Workers at genpact are just a number to them and never treated like an actual worker, don’t be fooled. When workers joined from the big 4 bank to genpact we were all told different conditions of work and neither the HR/Payroll or executive knew how to fix the issue or could offer some sort of “meet in the middle” type of agreement despite multiple group meetings on this matter. Not to mention payroll never knowing how to pay correctly - we were forever having our pays processed incorrectly. Was absolute shambles when I joined and was absolute shambles when I left.

Pros

Attractive salary and benefits of which the value quickly dissipates when you realise how bad the organisation is.

Cons

Malevolent leaders who play games and run fiefdoms. Total lack of collaboration. Nothing promised before joining comes true. The place is a body shop not a consultancy. Terrible leaders who have no humanity are allowed to thrive if they generate revenue. Lots of back room deals internally which kill off new talent opportunities. HR wont address poor leadership that has significant negative impacts on people. Lots of misleading sales stories are fed up the management chain to get credit where it's not due. So much in fighting. No real talent to support sophisticated consulting opportunities.

Pros

Work from home is convenient

Cons

-the work from home is also extremely lonely, never really allowed to interact with any coworkers. -during interviewing stage I was promised opportunities to grow and get a pay rise. Turns out that was a lie, you can get a promotion..to gain additional responsibility which is just helping people in a support group chat while doing your old job at the same time..with no extra pay. -stuck repeating the same script over and over every 5 minutes for your entire shift every day. -payroll will constantly mess up your pay, lie to your face and falsify your payment records saying they have overpaid you so they now need to take all that money back. - you will be timed down to the very second for every single task you do and management will constantly harass you for not completing a 20 minute job in under a minute. -required to spend hours and hours completing “mandatory learning” that has nothing to do with your job or even your company outside of work hours and will not pay you for it. Very dodgy company with no morals Do NOT work here
