Positive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Grill'd part-time for more than a year
Pros
The team at grill’d is super super friendly and just the work environment is so fun to work in and you get lots of experience. 50% off your food for staff and a free burger and a break if you work 5 or more hours
Cons
However!! My pay is $11 an hour no penalty rates or overtime rates or weekend rates. My pay is in the range of 16 and under and I find this unfair because a lot of other places have their wages for 16 year olds higher than 15 yr old and under. Apparently this (pays) is getting changed soon so I’m not quite sure what my pay is going to be but last time I checked it’s just $12/hr but with penalty and weekend rates

RecommendsNeutral OutlookI have been working at Grill'd part-time for less than a year
Pros
Very friendly and supportive community, free burgers after 5 hours of working (sometimes after 4), 50% single item staff discount, flexible rostering, being able to easily swap shifts with people
Cons
The fact that they force you to complete your Cert III so that they can pay you less, working in the servery gets very very hot (Is terrible for people with asthma), no penalty rates

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Grill'd part-time for less than a year
Pros
- Really amazing people to work with (team leaders and co workers) - super supportive and helpful making your shift easier. - Get a free burger or meal under $15 but only if you work 5 hours.
Cons
- Management is all over the place and unorganised. - Super Fast paced environment which can be overwhelming - The pressure can be very intense and stressful. - You’re Expected to know how things work on your own with little to no training at all! (Nothing was explained to me, was just meant to know how all stations work, managers get annoyed if you ask for help) - Traineeship is compulsory so they can get away with paying you less. Managers don’t even push you to get it done for example: You’re never given time to complete it when it’s specified that you’re meant to get ‘Take 15’. - Super demanding and Draining. - Overworked and left feeling Constantly tired. - Disgusting environment. So dirty... Cockroaches everywhere! (FLINDERS LANE IN MELBOURNE 😘) - No penalty rates (Sunday’s, public holidays, overtime) - Late hours (If Closing on Friday’s won’t get out till 12am maybe even later depending on staff and how busy it is). - Usually Understaffed due to management trying to save money. - Your hard work is not acknowledged at all. - Store needs to be professionally cleaned at least once a week! Restaurant gets too busy and your left with only 1 hour to try and clean and close as best as you can, it’s not enough. All the blood, sweat and tears aren’t worth it at all. Do yourself a favour and Please don’t work here.
