I have been working at HSBC Holdings full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

You are working with a big brand which offers lots of exciting opportunities in different locations. 150 years old bank and offers excellent job security.

    Cons

As it employees more than 200000 people don’t expect any special treatment or high increments no matter how well you perform

    Advice to Management

Reduce multiple layers - that slows decision making

I worked at HSBC Holdings full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits package. Midtown office location.

    Cons

Near constant reorganizations. Staff reductions at the lowest level. Disconnected executive management from day to day activities. Excessive reliance on under trained outsourced staff. Productivity as a result is severely affected.

    Advice to Management

You claim to care about your employees, yet most are walking on eggshells waiting for the day they will be reorged out of a job. Cut management layers not front facing staff for real savings. Stop all the outsourcing, it is only killing productivity.
