I have been working at HSBC Holdings

      Pros

Great people, nimble, clarity of communication from business heads. The business puts a lot into the development of its people and it shows. The work environment is also friendly with little ego tripping.

      Cons

Sometimes long hours. This is to be expected in the industry though and is nothing out of the ordinary. Salaries vary widely and depend on where you are and what you're doing - bonuses have been harder to get as headcount rises.

      Advice to Management

Keep listening to your people. Stay nimble and smart which is the key advantage over say the big 4. The people even at junior level have great ideas and there are many platforms to hear those.
