I worked at Hayman Island Resort

    Pros

Great team atmosphere focused on collaboration. Comprehensive salary package. Beautiful environment to enjoy on days off.

    Cons

Staff village living can be a little too intimate but it's not a negative.

I worked at Hayman Island Resort full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The island is beautiful and there are some brilliant people working there!

    Cons

Communication was terrible between management and workers. We were treated terribly. The managers were arrogant and elitist at best. The management style was micromanaging and like a dictatorship. No-one was praised for good work. We were treated like robots (on good days) and bullied (on bad days). It was a horrible and scarring experience. I would not recommend this place until serious senior management changes and certain people leave the organisation (which will most likely never happen).

I have been working at Hayman Island Resort full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Stunning tropical island location, access to a number of amazing experiences and the chance to relax on your days off.

    Cons

Below-industry wages, appalling staff accommodation and facilities. Very transient staff with the highest turnover I have ever seen. Management inexperienced and have no idea how to look after their staff. My skills were extremely under utilised. Management act with total disregard to staff wellbeing and the future of the resort.

I have been working at Hayman Island Resort

    Pros

beautiful resort with opportunity to visit and stay in the resort. recognised world wide as a leading hotel and known in the industry.

    Cons

too many rules and regulations that do not apply to the rest of the hotels owned by the group. Senior management a control freak that will not allow others to get involved, and she does not recognize and ignores the skills of many of the team
