    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Helloworld Travel

    Pros

Nice clients, experienced colleagues, lots of famil opportunities, that’s it really

    Cons

As it is a franchised business, it all depends on who the owner/manager is. If you have a owner who is also a consultant, things might be different. However if you have an owner/manager who is not a consultant or who has never been a consultant, this is where the problems lie. Owners are solely in it for the perks and will often keep the incentives the staff have earned; commissions are non-existent so make sure you negotiate your wage or they will pay you minimum wage; and owners will often be on their own big expensive holidays paid off the back of hardworking consultants. The company has little value for consultants and all perks go to the owners. There aren’t any Christmas parties, balls, awards nights except the yearly Frontliners which not everyone is entitled to attend. In fact consultants have nothing to do with the company and there’s next to no support for consultants ie HR department. Bullying is rife and staff have very old fashioned views of the workplace, as in 1980 old. They will cut your throat and there isn’t any feeling of being in a team and helping each other out when you are new. Things that are said and done and highly inappropriate for a workplace in 2020.
