I have been working at Honey Birdette part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Keeps you on your toes, every day is different - Incredibly rewarding work - Great support from higher management, calls from state manager every morning to check-in and see how you're doing - Constant opportunity to train and better yourself, - Great discount and incentive prizes to win each month, as well as vouchers for good work - Empowering group of women

    Cons

    - Working with all women tends to result in some level of drama or gossip no matter what the workplace. If you don't get involved, it doesn't affect you. Same as every other company I've worked for. -

I have been working at Honey Birdette full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working at Honey Birdette for more than a year, I can evidently see that the corporate culture and reputation us as honeys have is changing. This is due to the development and training recently instilled into the honeys. - more encouragement as a team in stores. - we break down the taboo stigmas - we are there for people to talk about vulnerable and sensitive topics in a safe environment - We stand up for charities and support as much as we can! An example of this is the McGrath Foundation - Discounts and Incentives are often a driving force! You are recognised for your hard work and rewarded accordingly - Communication with your State Manager !

    Cons

    - There needs to be more communication from the Top Level HQ Management down to the staff working on the floor! - Some rules or policies are put in place, then we witness the actions of other honeys that contradict said rules, some consistency will help!

I worked at Honey Birdette part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Now I know where to NEVER spend my money

    Cons

Let me start by saying the state managers were told of Honey Birdette’s shocking Glassdoor rating and for the next week mass amounts of positive reviews were posted. Please take all these positive reviews with a grain of salt because all ex-employees or disgruntled current ones a sure upper management has offered some sort of incentive for people to post overly positive reviews. This company is corrupt, greedy, and a terrible place to work. You are not valued or helped to grow. You are dispensable. The company pretends to value feminism and empowerment, but treats their employees like dirt and their customers like stupid cult members. Do not work here. Do not spend your money here.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Honey Birdette part-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Good discount -Girls you work with can be amazing -You meet some interesting people and build relationships with customers

    Cons

-Everything else -Ridiculous sales targets -Constant abuse and pressure from upper management -You work by yourself a lot and cannot close doors to go to the toilet or eat -Uncomfortable uniform, required to wear winger liner, red lipstick and stiletto heels all day If you’re thinking of working here, please listen to me and the countless other girls who were screwed by Honey Birdette - dont. You will cop abuse and ridiculous pressure every single day. All staff have personal budgets they must meet as well as store budgets, and anyone who is under 80% for the month will make a list of “red-zone” employees which is then sent out to every employee company wide to shame those not performing well. I worked in one of the quietest stores in Australia, and although we often did not have a single person walk in for the whole day we were abused by upper management if we were not making over 100%. Often I would reach out for support when low foot traffic was making the team anxious, only to be told I need to take responsibility for our low sales and change whatever I must of been doing wrong. Very rarely we’d go a few days without one of the girls having a mental breakdown. We were forced to wear stiletto heels every day, and if you couldn’t due to a medical condition they forced you to get medical certificates as proof. Sexual harassment from men was disregarded by upper management; stores didn’t even have cameras in them for safety. Constant nasty emails from the CEO, “exclusive” dinner invites from her with ONLY the employees who made the most money in the state. The CEO of this company is a ruthless sociopath, and the women working right under her in head office are almost as bad as her. Don’t even get me started on the hypocrisy of them preaching “female empowerment”, yet for some reason they refuse to use models bigger than a size 8 or women of colour in their campaigns/advertisements.

I have been working at Honey Birdette part-time for less than a year

    Pros

This is a company that you truely make a difference in women's lives. The icing is you get paid to help women better their lives.

    Cons

Really not many cons. The heels are a killer if you are a larger size 14 like myself. It is tough to not be able to get out to the Loo if you are on your own till a casual comes in to cover the lunch break.

I have been working at Honey Birdette part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Incentives Some wonderful coworkers Some nice music in store

    Cons

Everything. Bullying in the work place. Underpaid for extra hours worked (even when State Manager assures you that you will be paid) No breaks for full day work The constant threat of being fired and replaced Feeling worthless as a human being and an employee Creepy customers and stalkers at work (no cameras) No support from State Manager even when you ask for support KPI creates toxic and competitive environment where people steal others' sales or do dodgy things (like spending their own money) just to make target

    Pros

Great career progression Good support from team Incentives Get to have fun and joke around with customers and be a bit cheeky Job is designed around helping women to feel good about themselves and their bodies Good internal communication AMAZING incentives

    Cons

V small teams, covering shifts can be really hard Personal sales targets can bring on a lot of pressure, particularly if you're having a bad week Not a job for you if you're not willing to go the extra mile for a customer Unpaid hours High standards of dress and makeup, can get pricey Only managers will get full time hours during non peak times, most casuals get a pretty limited roster Performance based rostering
