    Pros

    Great Stores to work in.
Beautiful Lingerie and a generous employee discount.
Fantastic Customers and VIPs to get to know.
    Good Opportunity to progress.
    Amazing Incentives on offer.

    Cons

There is definitely a high performance culture here and if you want to sit behind a counter all day this is probably not the place to be. Put the effort in and the rewards are there.

    Advice to Management

I really enjoy working here - I have been an employee for just over 12 months. Keep up the amazing lingerie designs.

    Pros

Amazing women to work with, beautiful lingerie, caring owner, LOVE IT. It is the best company I have ever worked for.

    Cons

Wish there was more room for progression! I don't want to wait for someone to step down or move on.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! I love working in this company. It has been the greatest learning experience of my life

I worked at Honey Birdette full-time

    Pros

    - NRM is awesome. Smart, tactful and very supportive. She'll get you where you want to go, and be cheering your name every step of the way. -- Character building: very high expectations and the opportunity for you to set and achieve goals you didn't know you were capable of.
    - Career focus: everyone is promoted from within ans great emphasis is put on pushing you to the next level; casuals become managers, managers become area managers and area managers become senior members of the business earning some serious cash. The sky is the limit if you are hard working and willing to hustle.
    - Owner is notoriously generous with incentives, dinners, and treats. Hard work is noticed here and it pays off in the long run.
    - INCREDIBLE product and generous discount.
    - Shop environment is luxe and classy. Your job as a staff member is to empower people to own their sexuality and make them feel confident. I found this great for my self esteem.
    - Getting to dress up for work every morning is a daily delight, wearing lingerie and owning your femininity.

    Cons

    - If you're a uni student or just looking for short term cash; this job isn't for you. Many hours unpaid and higher expectations from even casual staff than the rate of pay or job title suggests. This company has no room for mediocrity.
    - If you're a perfectionist store presentation will haunt your darkest nightmares.
    - Wearing high heels, heavy makeup and corsets every day can take it's toll on your skin and body. You must make time for unwinding and pampering or you will burn out or become quite ill!
    - Fast paced, stressful environment. You will lose sleep. You will forget to eat. Or you'll overeat. It's important to take care of yourself while working your way to the top!
    - Budgets can seem overwhelming when you first start, but with the right training it gets easier.
    - Mostly female work environment; it can get catty 🐱
    - HR leaves a lot to be desired, but I saw a massive culture and management shift in 2016 for the better
    - Work life balance is challenging.

    Advice to Management

It wasn't an easy job, but I will always love HB. I was proud to work there and would return. Kudos to the new NRM who is an absolute pleasure to work for 👌🏻
Dont lose your momentum for continual improvement and continue kicking some serious tush!

    Pros

    Great career progression
    Good support from team
    Incentives
Get to have fun and joke around with customers and be a bit cheeky
Job is designed around helping women to feel good about themselves and their bodies
    Good internal communication
    AMAZING incentives

    Cons

V small teams, covering shifts can be really hard
Personal sales targets can bring on a lot of pressure, particularly if you're having a bad week
Not a job for you if you're not willing to go the extra mile for a customer
    Unpaid hours
High standards of dress and makeup, can get pricey
Only managers will get full time hours during non peak times, most casuals get a pretty limited roster
    Performance based rostering

Best managers I've ever had from the top down, AMs and NRM very friendly and supportive
    Good learning opportunities

    Cons

Sometimes the training nights run too late
Would prefer to work at stores closer to home, this isn't listened to always

Would have been good to see team based incentives not individual based
    Would have liked more hours

    Advice to Management

Love this company so much and will miss my regulars, I only left to return to my field of study.

    - You never feel like just a number
    - You are recognized for your individual talent and contribution
    - Seriously amazing individual incentives for retail team
    - Beautiful product and discount (Yay!)
    - If you step up to the plate, this is always recognized and rewarded.

    Cons

    - Once your in, Honey Birdette becomes an obsession. It's hard to switch off.
    - Long hours. Lots of work to keep you busy. If you are after a 9-5 position, this is not the place for you.
    - Fast paced environment can be stressful at times.

    Advice to Management

Honey Birdette has been one of the most challenging placed to work, but the most rewarding as well. I wouldn't change a thing. The small business mentality ensures that no one feel like 'just a number' and creates a real sense of team.
