I worked at Honolulu Star-Advertiser full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Friendly staff, consistent deadline scheduling, and amazing opportunities to build relationships with business professionals. Humongous networking hub and the opportunity to see the people that make the magic happen within companies.

    Cons

The newspaper is 24/7, 365 so not many days off for holidays like average companies.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Honolulu Star-Advertiser for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great opportunities, great staff, friendly environment, pushes you to rise higher than your position, great benefit package - medical, dental, 401K, etc.

    Cons

Not a lot room to move up, salaries not as competitive

  6. Pros

For me it was my break away from home. You also gain knowledge and to gain knowledge you gain success.

    Cons

The biggest challenge is the time frame. Meaning the truck that drops off the papers that need to be delivered comes between the hours of 12am-2:30am and you have until 5:30am to deliver the papers. You work seven days a week no day off!
