    I worked at J D Wetherspoon part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Many of my colleagues got the job with no former work experience.

    Cons

Managers often treat staff poorly, poor wages, closing shifts always ran over due to chronic and deliberate understaffing, no free staff meals which I have had in every other pub I have worked in. Honestly the most soul destroying job I have had, other busy bars and pubs I have worked in have paid better, offered better benefits, and treated staff with respect.
