    Good social life Over minimum wage to start

    Cons

    Upper management didnt know how to run a pub, they cut hours year after year so you couldn't actually manage or run anything

    Good pension scheme Good progression opportunities Discount on food and drinks

    Cons

    Too many levels of management giving conflicting instructions/orders Probation period is very strict and doesn’t allow for any illness (I got food poisoning from the pub food and was told to take 4 days off, which led to not passing the probation) Feeling of being monitored constantly

    The job in general is hard work. Constantly feel under pressure to work extra shifts and not take breaks etc.

    The people you work with are good and the pay is decent for a temp job.

    Cons

    Would have to clean up after Saturday nights meaning shutting at 2am would mean leaving at 5.30am
