I have been working at J D Wetherspoon part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Its easy Most of the people you work with are friendly and helpful Weekly pay Can be really flexible

    Cons

You can be treated nicely by one manager and really badly by another The customers seem to look down on you Can be really unsociable hours Anyone above associate will get you to do anything they don't want to do Team leaders will try to act like managers While you are trained on the go, its not always taught the same information thats in the official book There is CLEAR favouritism

    No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at J D Wetherspoon full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Free lunches - Decent pay if you're young but it's not a viable option long term -Good bonuses but only if your pub is profitable

    Cons

-Stress -Long hours -Childish "high school clique" culture in some pubs but not all -Always under staffed

    Advice to Management

Work on shift with staff more often and actually get to see what it's like in the fray. We're not moaning about long hours and understaffing for no reason
