I have been working at Jack Astor's full-time

    Pros

Some wonderful people to work with. Will often promote within.

    Cons

Cut backs on incentives for employees (no more Ski Week, etc.) Some managerial staff can be cut throat, happy to push others down to try and climb that ladder. Head office often rolls out new policies/food and drink creations even though they are not ready. For Salary employees (this is not me) you frequently work way over expected hours and do not get compensation for it.

I have been working at Jack Astor's part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1. The co-workers are all very nice, we treat each other like family. 2. The tip out, because I'm a chef every Wednesday I get 3% of the tips from the week before.

    Cons

    1. The co-workers, the people you work with can also be the worst part of the job. When your working a stressful shift sometimes people lose their cool, you can't take it personally. 2. It can be extremely busy, on holidays and game days. 3. It can be very physically demanding work, it can be very hot, loud, and stressful, it usually isn't, but it happens often enough that its worth mentioning. 4. Sometimes you'll have to work long shifts, or be scheduled for a closing and opening shift back to back. Depends a lot on who you work for.
