I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The office itself was a great environment to work in by being clean, neat, and open. The perks of working with an airline are great. The work/life balance was the best I've had yet. A great place for growth and professional development, especially for fresh graduates.

    Cons

Not many opportunities to move up. Lateral moves are common since upward mobility is difficult. Travel perks, although nice, deter from salary being more competitive. Long Island City is not in Manhattan, but actually right across the river in Queens so accessibility may be more complicated.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

By far the greatest part of JetBlue is the culture and the general security that usually comes with working at a Fortune 500 company during normal times.

    Cons

As tends to be the case in the airline industry, pay tends to lag behind similar roles in other industries. Additionally, the airline industry is particularly susceptible to economic downturns.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good for people looking to coast with some flight benefits.

    Cons

Bad for the ambitious. Decisions made across the organization are top-down style. Poor leaders use crew members to defend their existence. If leaders see that you're capable and challenge the status quo, you're viewed as a threat to their job security. There's no collaboration and innovation to improve. Most responsibilities are meant for interns because of the task-oriented nature of work. Most roles are low impact. The work is not challenging and does not translate to other industries. Low pay is justified with flight benefits.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most of the people are great but some are untrustworthy. A few good managers and flight benefits.

    Cons

Very little flexibility depending on your manager. Lack of leadership leads to indecision, poor quality of work and mistrust. No one takes responsibility for anything and their egos come before the company's best interest. Very limited opportunities for career growth, it's based on who is liked and not who is qualified for the role. The manager to employee ratio is off which leads to managers having more time on their hands to micromanage.

I have been working at JetBlue for more than a year

    Pros

Friendly coworkers that all care about each other. Flight benefits are always a nice perk.

    Cons

The company has a hard time setting goals and aligning all the departments to work to achieve those goals. Communication from leadership could use significant improvement.
