I worked at Jobvite full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Jobvite is a great place to lean. Devops is fantastic, engineering has some bright people, the architect is without a doubt one of the smartest people I've had the pleasure of working with, but 100% focus on budget over everything else makes it very difficult to keep up.

    Cons

Benefits are meh, no 401k match, health insurance could be better, pay is middle of the road. C and E staff plays favorites.

    Advice to Management

Manage numbers, lead people. Not the other way around. Focus more on career development, advancement opportunity and you'll have better luck keeping talent.

I have been working at Jobvite

    Pros

Some great people on the team and TA is an interesting space to work in. Popular brands are clients.

    Cons

    - way underpaid. They will dispute this but no other SaaS company trying to do mid market and enterprise sales pays so little. - not enough hands on deck. Everyone is overworked. - roadmap is rarely delivered on time. - most employees have been there less than two years. You’re not really recognized until you have tenure. Leadership values “loyalty.” - PE firm is very involved in business.

    Advice to Management

Be great at your core competencies. Create career paths early. Get rid of bad managers.

I worked at Jobvite full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The Jobvite that was is long gone, lies and lay-offs are the culture that is now Jobvite.

    Cons

The recent mergers were touted as a great opportunity for all, Jobvite CEO would be CEO over all the newly acquired company - heads rolled, Jobvite is moving to Indianapolis and new CEO has zero experience in recruiting - future outlook is grim.

    Advice to Management

Most senior management are gone - those that are not, are planning to go.

I have been working at Jobvite full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Onboarding - very involved onboarding process! Before I joined, I was invited to an office outing where I was able to get to know everyone before starting. Everyone was very welcoming. This continued into my first few weeks on the job. The team has been very hands on in my onboarding/training and everyone in the office is warm, inviting and open to questions. Environment - the environment is very positive. Again, everyone...

    Cons

Benefits - while most of the benefits are competitive, there is no 401k match currently. This isn't a huge deal breaker since I haven't had a match above 6%, but still something to consider.

I have been working at Jobvite full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The employees at Jobvite work as a team. They are forever trying to help and encourage one another. It’s like working with family.

    Cons

Remote work is great, but has its challenges. You feel less of a culture than you would at headquarters. Benefits arent the best (lack of 401k match)

    Advice to Management

Keep on keepin on! I’ve not been happier with a company.

I have been working at Jobvite full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Smaller employee size so there is a sense of community. I'm not in San Mateo, but I still feel connected and comfortable reaching out to anyone. Very helpful, friendly team. Flexible work environment. Very open to ideas and collaboration. Always looking for internal improvements as well as system improvements so that employees and customers have a great experience. Ability to move positions within the company....

    Cons

Smaller companies are a pro and a con. They are flexible and can implement changes and improvements quickly. That also means that as an employee you need to be able to work in an environment where you can pick up new things very quickly and be able to work hard to make these innovations happen. There's going to be less hand holding so you need to be able to hit the ground running, but it opens you up to grow more and...

I worked at Jobvite full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people. I cannot think of a company where I've worked with such a unique group of caring people. One of Jobvite's values was "Don't hire a**holes". Of course, one or two always sneaks through, but they don't last long for the most part. Jobvite has a great group of people that really want the company and the employees to succeed. There's a lot of passionate, hardworking people there. Jobvite isn't for everybody....

    Cons

Let's get rid of Cons, and just say "could be improved": -Starting pay could be better, but Jobvite does reward for performance. If you think you're amazing and worth more, prove it! -Some of the people that have been there a while are coasting and need to get back their head back into the game.

    Advice to Management
