    I worked at Kaufland

    Pros

Global business Some senior managers get cars

    Cons

Power hungry senior management who will happily throw a subordinate under the bus for their benefit Senior management constantly changing direction and never admitting any fault of their own Senior management directs and tells, not empowers employees Not innovative, don’t dare question or challenge the status quo Not a flexible work place Not a collaborative work place Pretty average pay for what is required of to do your job

I worked at Kaufland full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Large parent company although its not doing well in Germany Melbourne South east location with free parking on site

    Cons

By far one of the worst company to work in. Do not be fooled by the fake reviews that the management has forced employees to write in the recent times . This already tells you what sort of management they have at Kaufland. Instead of choosing to deal with the issue on hand they rather sweep in under the rug. Turnover rate is extremely high at the company as well due to the toxic work environment. They have officially 42.5 work week but unofficially its way more than 60 hours. Micromanaging and also unilateral last minute decision changes with no plan to follow up. This obviously leads to employees feeling burnt out all the time I have heard but never experienced pay discrimination until I started working here. The discrimination is rampant and surprisingly open and candid I would suggest management to invest in AI or robots as they obviously do not have any respect or empathy for human employee's

I have been working at Kaufland full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Entrepreneurial is the best way to describe it. Big backing from international retailer but operating like a start-up. Fast-paced, a lot of opportunity to progress if you prove yourself and work hard. No micromanagement. Great culture, everyone is friendly. Transparent feedback and communication.

    Cons

A lot of opportunities but expectations are high. You're not expected to work long hours but the expectation is that you stay back if you have deadlines. Flexible working (work from home etc.) isn't available yet. Salary isn't as competitive as other retailers, but they want the opportunity to outweigh money.

I worked at Kaufland full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Large parent company and great to get some contacts in the industry Some talented people in the mid-management

    Cons

Low pay, long working hours and minimum benefits Poor IT systems, frugal infrastructure but rigid processes Management is quite difficult to approach and ideas are most often turned down Very uncertain future with CEO exiting in the last month and the parent company facing financial problems in home markets
