      Pros

Friendly and family like atmosphere. Other agents and management go out of their way to help you become successful.

      Cons

Excellent brokerage to start with. You may consider moving else where to negotiate a higher commission split.

      Pros

The people. The focus on developing the agents. The technology and training. Profit Share. Last but not least is the non-profit KW Cares that provides immediate support both physical and monetary to agents and their families in times of need — not a loan or anything asked in return....just people helping people.

      Cons

Higher commission split To the brokerage than some competitors (not the Highest though).

Get ready to give 46% commission away!

      Pros

Great for brand new agents. Training for lead generation is great. Lots of resources (classes and videos) to help guide you.

      Cons

They don’t tell you how to actually do a transaction, only how to lead gen so you must hire a transaction coordinator ($400/transaction). If you’re not already best friends with a successful agent, you have to pay for help through coaching club which they STRONGLY encourage, which takes 10% of your commission then another 6% for KW royalty fees. Your 70/30 split turns into a 54/46 commission split!! You’re locked into coaching club for an entire year and caps at $9k/year. Definitely not worth it. Don’t forget to add in $400 for your transaction coordinator and $89 monthly KW fee. Once you have a couple of transactions under your belt, drop KW and go to a boutique broker than can give you closer to 100% commission. At KW you’re just paying for the name. At the end of the day, nobody cares which realty you’re with; only that you (the agent) is available and you do your job well, making sure your client is happy.

      Pros

My experience at Keller Williams has been one that stresses teamwork above all else. There is always someone to ask for help or provide help to. In real estate, you run into something new with every deal, and Keller Williams Southwest has always had someone that can help to get through any challenge.

      Cons

There are monthly office fees, and the commission splits could be better, but there is at least a cap on how much the company can take from your commission annually.

      Pros

KW provides excellent training, caring staff, inspiring atmosphere, no limits on your income possibilities, good commission splits, and great mentoring opportunities. It is an excellent brokerage to be associated with!

      Cons

Sometimes, there's a little too much pressure to buy into their additional training programs. Also, they do not provide leads or much admin support without paying extra. You are really on your own to pave your own path. If you are good at doing that, you will love KW!

      Pros

The people were amazing at KW and the technology was always advancing to accommodate the market trends, conditions, and changes.

      Cons

The training wasn't helpful in new ways to generate leads unless you already had a network of people. Schedule Training didn't always take place because other agents led them they often got canceled. The large-cap number and commission split was too much.
