      I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time for more than a year

      Pros

      Kellogg's has many strong role models who have been with the company for a long time, as demonstrated by their need for a 25 year club. Employees have passion for the brand and seeing the business succeed, are very knowledgeable, and enjoy the people who they work with. There is a good rewards and recognition program and the team is working hard for continuous improvements to the culture.

      Cons

      Like all large companies, there is the potential to work in silos. The workload can become high at times so employees do need good time management to juggle competing priorities, but this can offer rich learning and development opportunities.

      Advice to Management

      It would be beneficial to have some opportunities to work cross-functionally to help break down these silos and reduce misunderstanding.

      Pros

      Family friendly environment, with flexible hours on Fridays, provided the work gets done of course. The Australian business has an onsite cafeteria/canteen.

      Cons

      Always in a state of flux of late, many layers of regional level projects and programs creating huge complexity. This needs good staffing and excellent co-operation between business units. The former is not always optimal.

      Prioritise programs better, improve resourcing and commit to common systems.
