I worked at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people you work with are all creative and have that passion to give their customers unforgettable experiences. The company's also more hip and modern and really adapts to the city/environment where the hotel is at.

    Cons

The property I joined at just recently opened and I think really lacked proper guidance and support for their best employees.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees. Know when to recognize them.

I worked at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants full-time

    Pros

Opportunity to work with professional front-facing people, good money, fairly flexible schedule, potential contacts with C-Level execs, and an on-trend f&b menu

    Cons

High management turnover due to below industry standard compensation can disrupt organizational flow, the decision-making for major changes is off-site and, at times, off mark. The pros outweigh the cons.

    Advice to Management

Reduce management turnover by increasing salaries consistent with sales and responsibility. Money trumps any special occasion perks

I worked at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

This company truly cares about it’s employees. They empower their associates and encourage them to be themselves. They are consistently listed on Forbes 100 Best Place to Work. Not only that, they are the highest rated Hospitality company on Glassdoor. Kimpton, please don’t lose what makes you a special place to work and remain true to your roots.

    Cons

N/A. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to revisit the benefit package, particularly the 401k matching rate.

I have been working at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants full-time

    Pros

Most of the people are friendly. Kimpton encourages you to take the lead no matter what role you are in. If you have an idea they want you to bring it to life.

    Cons

They only pay for senior management's parking downtown. The benefits are just okay - the 401K is not the best. They take all of your sick time away during the winter and only pay you out for some of it.

    Advice to Management

Make the employees who go above and beyond feel appreciated.
