I have been working at Kony full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Good work culture, especially in the app platform team - Great place for young engineers to learn best practices around software engineering, coding. Even campus hires are given a lot of responsibility if they show potential - Good quality work - opportunity to work on core product features directly even as a young engineer (not maintenance or side projects) - Growth and learning opportunities

    Cons

    - Pay should be better. Expectation is for engineers to match up to product companies, but salaries are not keeping up. - Quality of engineers is uneven. A lot of 'old hands' who are set in their ways are difficult to work with. KPS (delivery org) has very poor quality developers

Thanks for sharing your perspectives We are so glad that you value the culture and the innovate work in addition to our maniacal focus on providing career growth opportunities. We understand the best talent in digital is never satisfied with status quo relative to their work or knowledge, and we are up to the challenge of stretching those who wish to be stretched. When you're creating the future digital solutions for leading banks and other companies around the world, finding challenging work is not hard! Regarding pay, we are constantly benchmarking to industry standards and prioritizing above industry pay hikes for our best talent. I do need to weigh in on the "cruises" you allude to, as this recognition event is above and beyond even the biggest players in the technology industry. I can assure you that your peers who attend them list it as one of the most stand-out "perks" we offer. While many companies take only their top sales performers on a trip every year, we have expanded that so we take our top 100 Mobilizers (+ their guests) - from EVERY FUNCTION, REGION and most importantly- LEVEL (the majority on NOT in management) on a mind-blowing trip which rotates every year to a new region of the world. This is such a unique perk, especially for a smaller emerging Company, and we are very proud to offer it every year to our best and brightest! Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Kony full-time for less than a year

    Pros

As a seasoned veteran of the digital banking space who has watched the industry and the space evolve and transform over the past decade, I recently decided to make an investment in my future and join the Kony team. Having watched from the sidelines as Kony has single handily disrupted the digital banking space I made the decision that, on the surface; this was the company and the vision I wanted to align with. Disrupters like Kony often look bright and shiny from the outside looking in and it was with this perspective that I conducted my due diligence and evaluated my decision to join the team. From a product, vision and company culture standpoint I was unable to shoot holes in the Kony story through this process. As I joined the Kony team, my expectations were high. I’m pleased to share with you that not only have my expectations been met, but they’ve been exceeded in a big way. Kony looks bright and shiny from the outside looking in, but its even brighter from the inside looking out. Company culture uplifting and positive based on a foundation of integrity and respect. Positivity from every team inclusive of Sales, Product, Development, Executive Management and Human Resources. The “can do” attitude from all departments is so refreshing. Nothing siloed here. Everyone works together. My experience thus far, has truly been inspiring. A collaborative environment, accompanied by enthusiasm is a win-win, if you ask me. I feel that Kony is prepared and well positioned to continue to scale this model and do so with speed, which is no easy task. I couldn’t be any more excited to be part of such a great team and exciting company. Looking forward to many successes with Kony in the coming years!!

I have been working at Kony full-time

    Pros

    Niche mobility space, Good product

    Cons

Its so sad to see a company in niche technology space to loose its sheen due to reticent and uninspiring management (in Kony Services). Cem was such a delightful addition but after its departure, Kony services is back to its brand of work. Senior leadership in India is so intoxicated with authority that its almost impossible for anyone to make a mark in the midst of the loud and egoistic close group. Senior Leadership is so bereft of listening to alternate voices and opinions that it has become a suffocating environment to work in(Leaders in Non US accounts) Hope HR does not blabber about the niche technology space, Gartner reports and other industry recommendations in reply to this post. Nobody is denying on the cutting edge technology space and work opportunities but this can't be sole reason for associates to continue. This is specially directed to US HR to take a stock of the situation and do course correction as India HR is already surrendered and toothless entity. Its so disheartning to see people who are causing all the damage are encouraged to play the blame games in place of fixing core issues. You don't see them in office all the time and when you see them they come only to spoil and break the careers for hard working folks if they are not there in their core group. This review should not be treated as vengeance against some folks and pls read all hostility as passion and love for the organization that it was at point of time.
