I have been working at Land Transport Authority full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Pay is not too bad. Pay even better for male 2nd upper and above degree holders.

    Cons

    1. Promotion is based on time based rather than merit. Favour management trainee or scholars regardless of their performances. If you got promoted this year, next year auto will be a grade 4 no matter what and your next promotion will be delayed because unofficially, you would need to get consecutive 2 years grade "4+" and above to get a promotion. Every townhall employee raise this issue and HR and CEO rebutted but senior management silently set this benchmark across. 2. Bosses who have no relevant knowledge in this industry and not humble in admitting what they don't know. They might have engineering degree or master, but being in military won't expose you to the real engineering world

I worked at Land Transport Authority full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Salary and benefits are good

    Cons

Favoritism, Politics and negative working environment. Many scholars are very individualistic and proud too. Many stayed for the salary

I have been working at Land Transport Authority full-time

    Pros

Nice place to be at. A lot of events to participate and enjoy. Good courses to attend.

    Cons

Not much growth in terms of knowledge. Stagnant after a while. As with govt agencies, non scholars have to be contented with what they have.

I worked at Land Transport Authority

    Pros

    - Decent pay - Fairly regular hours - Great exposure for interns - Some great mentors who genuinely try to maximise the internship experience and establish good relationships I would recommend for the stable job and pay, but in another department.

    Cons

Disgusting how double-faced some people can be, even going so far as to bootlick scholar interns because those are the ones on the fast track to become their future bosses

I worked at Land Transport Authority full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good career prospects if you're an Engineer and prefer hands on work (depends on the department you end at)

    Cons

Typical civil sector with too many red tapes! Slow career progression unless you're a scholar or within the top performance category

I worked at Land Transport Authority full-time

    Pros

    Convenient location, free public transport.

    Cons

High level politics. Incapable scholar bosses dominating the upper rungs. Inefficiency due to red tape. Career progression is limited as government service skill sets are obsolete in the business world.
