    I worked at Leighton

    Pros

Free fruit and coffee, flexible with work times to a degree

    Cons

No direction on where they are going and no care for staff unless you fit in with management, who only care about how much money they can drain from big client, not so canny bunch. Very rarely see managers as they always seem to be working from home!

I worked at Leighton full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It tries to make itself look like a friendly place to work but having a games console and bean bags doesn't make you into a trendy company.

    Cons

Management don't listen and are useless who don't care about employees and just want to get as much money from customers as possible. The offices are not properly maintained, not disabled friendly, too cold in the winter and stupidly hot in the summer.

    I worked at Leighton full-time

    Pros

Can only think of a couple for this. - The offer of Flexi-time is a bonus allowing early finish and starts. - Office location isn't too bad and working environment is decent. - Good opportunity for grads to start and build up some experience

    Cons

    - Parking is an absolute nightmare to the point where the business park owners are now issuing parking tickets on site although there is not enough spaces for everyone. - There seems to be a real lack in attracting experienced Developers which in-turn shows and affects work bids. - They rely heavily on one contract which if lost could result in serious consequences. - There is no real progression through-out different positions. - Pay for experienced employees is not realistic. - Benefits are almost non-existent.

I worked at Leighton full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's a good company for Fresh graduates seeking work experience - their pay rate satisfies that audience. Working environment (office) seems alright

    Cons

Pay rate not good for experienced employees. 75% of their revenue comes from one firm. They don't seem to have great business development plan and plans to build and sell their own products. No dedicated team doing proper requirement gathering during bids for new deals thus resulting in under costing deals.

I have been working at Leighton for more than 3 years

    Pros

Small company, more personalised and you can tailor your need, good work life balance

    Cons

Small clienteles and hence a bit of unstability plus it is not process-driven and hence the management is a bit chaotic. Growth potential not very good

    "Fast sinking ship"

I worked at Leighton full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

This is a hard one! Flexi-time is good. Start early finishe early. The location of the office isn't that bad. Situated from main routes but parking is a nightmare and the business park owners are quite forceful when it comes to making sure people are parked correctly. That aside the offices have an Xbox, beer fridge (which is there for show)..... Yup... That's the about it for the pros.

    Cons

Here we go. So... The company are basically a one trick pony relying on the only main client BA what s keeping them afloat. If that pony fell over and broke its let it would be the glue factory for sure! Management have no idea on how to win other work. There seems to be a real lack of skill when it comes to securing other client work, be it lack of experience of just basic idiocy - gawd only knows. The company also has way too many managers who seems to have no real purpose other than to leach off the company. Why do they need managers who manage mangers again is another gawd only knows. Processes over past few years had become silly. Again this is due to managers who have no idea of how to run a business. Processes should be their to help employees and clients, not hinder. Managers also have a real lack of acknowledging when things are going wrong. The company does not take employees ideas, recommendations or even concerns, but simply sits on them hoping that people will forget them and eventually move on. There is also no progressing through the ranks unless your a 'yes man'. If you can talk the talk you get promoted but there are no ladders to climb and nothing to keep employees interested. That's why over the past few years all the best and most qualified employees have left and moved onto pastures greener. I could keep going but what's the point. There's a lot of failings here and it's down to management not either having the experience in winning new work or sticking their heads in the sand.

    Pros

Great people, really nice working environment, relaxed starting and finishing times are a great bonus, free fruit and encouraged to take breaks.

    Cons

Laptops and computers could definitely be a higher spec, sometimes they aren't fast enough for development and the monitors aren't the best either.
