I have been working at Lend Lease full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - their Focus on mental health in the construction/operations industry, and not just talking the talk, but walking the walk in this space (ie wellbeing leave as an option)
     - their desire to be an LGBTQI employer of choice
     - focus on development of women and people from diverse cultural background into leadership positions
     - innovative
     - management that genuinely care about its workers, in all of the business units I worked in over a period of nearly 10 years
     - every time I had 'itchy feet' and discussed it with my Manager, I was offered new opportunities
     - great employee benefits and maternity/paternity leave policy (18 weeks at full pay, can take up to two years off)

    Cons

Draconian rules around IT equipment and use, but that had been easing up.
Still a lot of silo-ism within the business, and difficulty in figuring out internal capabilities as a result.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up

I worked at Lend Lease full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Conveniently located premises, great colleagues. Strong health and safety culture. Paid great farewell money when made me redundant due to the mining industry downturn. Good brand to have in your resume.

    Cons

Salaries are below industry average. Personal development is not supported, has to be paid in advance from your pocket, when certificate issued it can be reimbursed. Management was changed due to acquisitions, and the atmosphere changed accordingly. New management's long term strategy was reactive rather than proactive - resulting a loss of plenty of sharp minded engineers then, and a whole manufacturing facility in couple of years.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your best assets: people. Make more efforts to identify future trends, then act pro-actively. Change your mindset and strive to build a sustainable business.

I worked at Lend Lease full-time

    Pros

Good opportunities, depending on who you know.
    Good wellbeing initiatives.
Overall company is always striving to be a top performing company and has a great reputation externally.
    Beautiful offices!

    Cons

Similar to first pro, opportunities and rewards are often given based on who you know and how loud you speak up.
Pay was not the best compared to what other companies were offering for the same role.
Although the company tries to do a lot around mental health, at times culture within certain teams was not healthy.

  6. "Lendlease is a rewarding place to work."

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Diverse work, ability to move different business units and get exposure to variety of work. Friendly culture. Generally good work life balance but some teams seem to be more overworked than others.

    Cons

Certain executives can be political as with most work places. Salary band seems to be middle of market. Not much salary increase despite posting super profits.

    Advice to Management

Share remuneration equally with the success of the business.
