    I worked at Lifespan full-time

    Pros

    Good pay benefits some of the doctors are good. Some of the time the job was good

    Cons

    Benefits were terrible. Hired people based on degree not on experience. Good doctors constantly leaving. Management was inept didn’t know how to do their job.

    Advice to Management

    some management, you are throwing your programs away because you don’t know what you’re doing and to their bosses, they need to pack it in.

    Can move around in the system
    Most employees are passionate and treat the patients like family

    Union at one affiliate blocks improvements for all
    Low tuition reimbursement
    Disorganized and ineffective HR department

    Fix HR
    Pay more attention to frontline staff than the suits
    Make all organizations on the system pull their own weight

    Lots of flexibility in scheduling

    Cons

    Low wages compared to a similar organization
    HR moves incredibly slow even for transfers within departments.

    Advice to Management

    Pay your employees fairly or they will find work elsewhere. Lifespan employees work incredibly hard, long hours and only ask for appreciation. HR

    Cons

    Poor patient ratios with high acuity patients. Low pay. Penalized for using sick time.
