I have been working at Lloyds Banking Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Annual pay review. Annual bonus - dependant on group and personal performance. Free group shares. A wide variety of colleagues from all different backgrounds. Possible career progression.

    Cons

You can take on many different brand types, if one brand is more popular than the others, they get forgotten about and it makes it difficult to remember knowledge of other brands. Older / longer serving staff are treated better in regards to flexible shifts and having to choice to not take on extra brand knowledge. Some (not all) of the managers don’t even know the information about the brand that the company is forcing you to learn. You feel like you’re on your own and not getting much support. Especially during the pandemic, the customers and queries can be VERY repetitive, it can make you feel upset, tired and frustrated, while they expect you not to have emotions during this time. If you have knowledge on a specific brand and there aren’t many colleagues that are trained on the same brand, it becomes really difficult to arrange progression from your current role, but others that declined to be trained on that brand get better opportunities due to a lower risk of losing valuable colleagues.

I worked at Lloyds Banking Group part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good career progression - Lloyds are keen to develop staff and there are lots of opportunities to progress in different directions. Work with some great people, and they pay well for what the job is.

    Cons

Very busy, with often long queues of waiting calls which can be stressful thanks to lack of staff to relieve the workload. Staffing problems made it difficult to get time off unless booked months in advance, getting Saturdays off were almost impossible.
