Pros

The former leadership staff was amazing. I felt supported, I had long-term career potential in the role, I felt fulfilled and challenged in my job, I loved my coworkers and boss, and I was compensated fairly. This was the first job that I felt like I was respected by my employer and would be compensated fairly without constantly needing to advocate for myself (just normal advocating for myself). This job was incredible until the CEO decided to become more involved in the business and his solution was to push out the COO who ran day to day operations. Overnight the atmosphere entirely changed. LSG employees are smart, hard-working people. If you see them looking for another role, snatch them up. Each one of these people is a delight to work with and will make your business tons of money. 🙂

Cons

The CEO of this company is a narcissist who gaslights employees who have legitimate concerns. Here is a sample of circumstances I encountered within a month of the COO leaving: Was told that everything the COO knew about technical SEO was taught by the CEO (who had offered incorrect technical advice to another employee the day before) Did not honor a promotion for an employee that had been approved by the COO. Healthcare benefit plans were supposed to be better, but were basically the same and delays from the company meant I had 2 days to decide my 2022 benefits. Told me to my face on my last day how much I was appreciated and to reach out if I needed anything only to find out a week later from a former coworker that he had trash talked me to my peers on a team meeting. It was immediately apparent to me that the benefits other than working with smart, capable people were being cut and that I'd have to work more closely with the CEO, which I was unwilling to do long term. There is a reason that employees are fleeing from this company - and that reason is the CEO. If you are considering working here, please reach out to current employees or former employees to ask about it first. I'm confident they'll tell you a similar story.

Pros

Great coworkers willing to share their knowledge and help you grow.

Cons

The company expects top tier talent but is not willing to offer competitive pay. Poor communication from upper management and lack of accountability from them created a loop of frustration throughout whole company. This used to be a wonderful place to work but management has made it clear that it is no longer about the people and all about the money.

Pros

Great team members (not counting management) that will support you and always look for ways to help you out.

Cons

Extreme micromanagement in the SEO Ops team Consulting is taken advantage of and has the highest turnover rate I've ever seen Extremely low pay They will tell you that the benefits outweigh the cons, but their 'benefits' are nothing that other companies don't offer at this point. They are NOT doing well financially and will probably be sold/out of business by next year. HR is in charge of everything, CEO is not present at company at all.
