I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Overall, great work environment.
    -Pretty flexible schedule.
-Management is easy to get along with.
    -Fun work environment.
    -Family atmosphere.
    -Lots of promotion opportunities
-Pay is decent with occasional opportunities for overtime.
-There is always work to be done.

    Cons

    -Working most weekends and holidays.
-Because management is usually mellow, problems rarely get addressed until it is almost too late.
-It is retail, so there will be tend to be a constant flow of different people wanting to split you into different directions.
-Slackers do not get dealt with, again because management is more about keeping the peace than bringing down the hammer.

    Advice to Management

-Be a little less "cool" and deal with problem employees swiftly.
-Start cracking down on repeat offenders who are always calling in. Their absence is felt and it ripples into the team's workload.
-Otherwise, great job Lowe's team (management and employees), and keep up the great work.
