I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time

    Pros

It feels good to work for an entity that cares that much for a population that needs these services.

    Cons

Mixed messages from higher levels related to administrative priorities and staffing. Not the best decisions are made in several instances, whether due to lack of knowledge, or lack of interest in finding out the right answers. This causes uncertainty and stress.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the lower levels of management as to what is needed to do the job the right way. Make decisions based on what is best for the institution and for those that prove daily that they care about the quality of their work.

I have been working at MD Anderson Cancer Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free healthcare and multiple raises. Lots of company luncheons and rewards. Great insurance benefits plans. Easy to move to different departments.

    Cons

High turn over rate, inefficient, more about who you know than what you know. Leadership is power hungry and doesn't value their employees

    Pros

You can really make a difference here. Cancer care and research are really on point. And that can be very rewarding.

    Cons

Very hard to generalize. Some departments and positions are great, others not so much. Currently getting over a financial crunch, so morale isn't always the best.
