Management's answers to previous reviews regarding "salaries ... have been bench-marked as highly competitive .... merit increases and bonuses are deployed company-wide" and are complete and unadulterated BS. Several consecuitive years of "exceed expectations" rating was rewarded by sub-2% pay raises and zero bonuses, not enough to even keep up with inflation.

There is one upper management in particular that should make an effort to be more approachable. Be careful about what is said in the office because this person will easily misconstrue your words. If you're at the bottom of the barrel, good luck getting a "Hello" from them. There has been numerous times where this person would pass me by and won't say a word, but once someone higher walks by, they will start talking. Also, if you get on their bad side, you will be single out. Don't believe anything they say, it might sound trustworthy, but once you walk away, it's a whole different story.
