Great Work-Life Balance and Compensation but Lacking Loyalty

      Pros

Work-life balance, compensation, culture among individual contributors is awesome. Supervisors and lower-level management is usually supportive and empowering.

      Cons

Supervisors and lower-level management is very inconsistent (years of experience and how hands-on or -off they are). The same employee is often treated/recognized differently between managers leading to inconsistent feedback and direction.

Doing the best they can in a hard market

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Culture is based on mutual respect. Leadership is committed to as much transparency and communication as possible. Pay is above average for similar jobs in other industries.

      Cons

Oil and Gas is a volatile industry. The most recent cuts are likely not the last but most roles are already overburdened with the loss of their colleagues. Difficult to move up at all. Pigeon holed in whatever your role is. Very little cross collaboration among departments.

      Pros

Good company / people culture and good work environment. My work team was like family. My line of leadership was very supportive

      Cons

Overload of work for a small team and expected to perform work outside of your direct role ( had to be a jack of all trades)

      Pros

Good benefits and work life balance
