I have been working at Maxim Integrated full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Coworkers are results oriented and willing to assist and share information whenever asked. Projects are interesting and challenging. Overall the company is stable.

    Cons

At times it seems that management has lost focus on end results and puts too much value on intermediate metrics which can be manipulated. I believe their intentions are in the right place, but often they miss the mark.

I have been working at Maxim Integrated full-time

    Pros

There are lots of bright and talented co-workers around. One may learn quite a bit. The senior management of the operation group is truly insightful.

    Cons

It is not a technology but product company. Senior management of business units is somewhat near-sighted. Lack of training, not good for new graduate.

I have been working at Maxim Integrated for more than 3 years

    Pros

It used to be a great company but the continual re-org and layoff and loss of talents, the current morale is low.

    Cons

The entire company, from top to bottom, is driven by all sort of financial metrics to a point that everything you do is "what is the financial return" and hardly innovative anymore.

I worked at Maxim Integrated full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good colleagues, flexibility, good compensation

    Cons

incredibly bad business strategy, especially in the mobility market, with a goal of very high margins but addressing a very few key customers (and often only one). This strategy has resulted that in only two years it has passed from the market that has driven the revenue of the company, to the complete exit from the consumer market. The best opportunity for Maxim now is to be acquired soon, before it disappears completely
