    Thanks for taking time to post a review on Glassdoor about your time at Missguided. Our recent Colleague Voice Survey and listening groups also highlighted personal development and senior leader communication as an area we need to enhance. We're currently in the process of introducing a number of initiatives relating to personal development, this includes the relaunch of our Inspiring Performance (and Development) process. We've also made changes to this on the back of what colleagues have told us. We're currently in the process of cascading information on our 2019/2020 bonus scheme, along with commitments to how senior leaders will keep you informed of our progress.

    Thanks for taking time to post a review on Glassdoor about your time at Missguided. During 2018 we introduced our quarterly stand ups to increase communication from our senior leaders but appreciate we can do more. Our benefits package is being reviewed as we are aware of the competition for talent in Manchester and finally we have tried to create an inclusion environment with the introduction of our vibes and ongoing work on our culture.

    great office onsite parking friendly staff friday working hours

    Cons

    no leadership no development people who have been in the company for a long time haven't developed their skills or industry knowledge and still have a final say in decision making no communication of business state produce a lot of work that never materialises

    I worked at Missguided full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    * Early finish on a Friday....although very rarely happens due to workload * Sample sales * Office decor * Free drinks at parties twice a year * The chance to gain ALOT of experience as you are doing your job plus your managers * Most of the people are really nice and work very hard

    * Poor salary * Literally no promotion - One person promoted on the buying side in the last 12 months and that was a buying manager to head of buying * No admin/system support - BA's and MA's very stretched with workload, AB's and buyers having to do management responsibilities * Poor processes - sign off meeting processes changed number of times * Systems - very manual and new system doesn't support the business infastructure * NO COMMUNICATION - product launches advised to teams days before the launch date leaving little time to organise on an already heavy workload * Key employees made redundant due to 'cutting costs' with an unfair process * Employee favouritism - jobs saved from redundancy due to being mates/spouses of managers/CEO * E-comm and retail communication extremely weak - resulting in clear poor performance of the stores * Most staff had no access to parking onsite * Staff members with extreme attitude problems * Samples disorganised looks like a jumble sale - leading to sample theft on a regular basis * Management show no respect for employees

    Pros

    Office is ok but looking a bit tired now People generally are easy to deal with Work/life balance is ok as working from home is allowed and 4pm finish on Fridays

    Cons

    Little or no strategic direction Annouced redundancies despite continuing to recruit a mass of people over the last few months No communication from Exec - there is some general communication from People Team but Exec may as well not exist Exec are out of touch with what is actually happening Not enough skilled people that can do their actual work Cliquey and lack of experienced managers Career opportunities limited as no structured career paths or roles given to clique members Car parking is an issue as not the easiest place to get to Lack of basis tools like being able to book a meeting room yourself
