I have been working at Monsanto Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are outstanding compared to other companies I have worked for. 401k match is great and health insurance options are hard to beat. Competitive wage as well

    Cons

Lot of internal politics to sort through during day to day operations that shouldn’t have to consume a field sales reps time. Balance of work vs home life time can be a struggle sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to spend more time out in the field to know what really is happening on the front lines out in the field.

    Cons

Work-life balance can get tricky but you can sail through if you know when and how to unplug.

    Advice to Management

Technically superior manager may not always be a great team/people lead.
Identify and develop leaders before they are promoted to be people leads.

I worked at Monsanto Company (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Monsanto gives great opportunity of career and self development. This is the only company I've worked for that gave me an open book on how to grow, the competencies to be developed and that would really discuss in almost like a daily basis my development, next steps and results.

    Cons

But your grow th depends a LOT on relationship. The more relationship and network you develop the more you grow what would be great if the importance that is given to relationship would be the same that is given to results, which isn't the case sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Listen more, talk to the team, get their perspective and be closer to the team you have because their are an extension of yourself.
