I have been working at N2 Publishing full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Love the unlimited income potential, the flexibility, ownership, and most importantly the culture and the people!

    Cons

I don't even want to list is under the 'cons' section, because it isn't - it is simply setting proper expectations that all of the amazing and wonderful things about the Area Director Role are things to be earned - not given on day one. You need to work hard, hustle, and be disciplined, and you will rock this role.

I have been working at N2 Publishing full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

N2 has blessed me both professionally & personally. They have given me the opportunity to own my own business & provided me with all the training to do so. N2 allows me the freedom for work life balance. Something not often found in the corporate world.

    Cons

If you are not self-motivated this is not for you.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the GREAT work!

I have been working at N2 Publishing full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

N2 gave me the ability to create a new life as an entrepreneur! They provided all the training I needed to create my business and I worked hard and now have a quality of life I had never dreamed I would have, one I have always wanted. I make more than I did in the corporate world, I work with people across the country that I respect and that have become close friends in my life. Not only that but I LOVE what I do every...

    Cons

The only con is you have to be self-motivated! No one can do the work for you, but you will have all the support and coaching you need to be as successful as our top Area Directors in the country!

    Advice to Management

None at the moment, we keep growing and changing with the times. The residents in my community and the businesses love what we do!

I have been working at N2 Publishing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

N2 provides an environment where you are encouraged to work hard, and it gets rewarded. Two week Christmas break is awesome! You work with like-minded people who are excited to be at work. Leadership is easily accessible and genuinely cares for everyone who works for N2. The company culture is as advertised, absolutely incredible!!

    Cons

I can honestly say that after working here for over two years I have none. I love my job and I love this company.

    Pros

I have been working at N2 Publishing full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great opportunity to make good money without having to work 9-5 Interesting day to day functions. One day you're making sales calls, the next you're interviewing/selling a business owner, the next you're taking pictures of someone's pet and the next you're playing events coordinator. Or not. You can basically hire out any positions within your company.

    Cons

Ineffective method for most business owners to get more leads/jobs Not enough focus on the current clients needs & wants If you're effective at selling the product - then you're promoted - no matter how useless you are in other facets of business/culture/ability Company was built entirely with only sales reps at the helm. This resulted in an unusual product

    Advice to Management

Excited you're looking more seriously at managing current client experiences and success. You can say "It's not a direct response product" as many times as you want - but there needs to be some response. It's the same for any sales - it's the amount of eyes you can get on your business. If a business is paying $500 a month to be in a magazine that is sent to 340 people, and say 120 of those actually open it. 25 of...

I have been working at N2 Publishing full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

N2’s culture is the best I’ve ever experienced. Coming to work is like going to school with your best friends. Everyone is willing to help each other when needed. Leaders are always open to suggestions to help the company grow and improve the culture. There’s no micromanaging which gives you a sense of responsibility and encourages you to go above and beyond for the company. I love that N2 is faith based and that they...

I worked at N2 Publishing full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible schedule, good coworkers. Access to a subscription to Adobe software for use in personal time. 401k match

    Cons

Lack of decent pay. A bottom-tier health insurance plan that will cost you upward sales of 3-6x what you’d typically pay, as well as having to change providers 90% of the time. The structure of the company doesn’t realistically allow for growth within the design department. The pay is definitely not sustainable for anyone outside of the “single/no kids” lifestyle. This, coupled with the lack of opportunities within the...

    Advice to Management

Learn to appreciate the talent of graphic designers within your ranks. It’s sad to see so many people stifled in their careers in the name of keeping profits high (and keeping salaries, creativity, and opportunities low). Its a well known fact that the past year has been riddled with firings, work scandals, long time employees quitting “inexplicably,” and people being discouraged from speaking up when they experience...
