    Pros

You may get close with your coworkers and become friends - sharing in a common traumatic experience together. You'll meet a lot of different people because they come and go like the wind. One woman came in for orientation day 1 and left on her lunch break and never returned. She was smart!

    Cons

I left this place almost 3 years ago and the reviews being posted on here STILL say the same things my coworkers and I said then!! You'd think instead of balking at the reviews, calling people negative, and asking employees to write positive reviews to offset the terrible (true) ones-- management would actually listen and realize this is a huge problem. But nope.

    Advice to Management

    That's a joke.

    Pros

Not many. If you are self indulgent, you can vote for yourself to receive an award for being a good employee and win a gift card. Most employees are nice people, at the expense of being competent workers.

    Cons

The only reason that there are any positive reviews here is that upper management propositions people to write in good reviews to balance all the terrible ones (all of which are all completely truthful). This is the kind of place that you have nightmares about even after you move on to another job. Every department is micromanaged awfully, it’s very difficult to get work done, and there is no real training in place... to help departments or individuals understand what others do. Upper management thrives on keeping their employees in the dark, making people feel powerless with a watchful eye. The owner of the company is mean spirited and does not even try to present a good natured facade. If you have an issue and you bring it up in a professional manner you will reprimanded. You will be “written up” like a child if you do not follow their outrageous policies to a T. Communication is extremely problematic or nonexistent, especially for upper management, who feel that the rules do not apply to them. As one previous reviewer pointed out so precisely “The owner hand selects unqualified managers due to their willingness to be loyal to her and perform any dirty deed necessary to keep the jobs that they are unqualified for.” Most employees lack basic computer skills which make simple tasks and communication very difficult. You can expect to be underpaid and take on responsibilities that have nothing to do with your position (and you are to do this without question or you will be belittled until you are forced to quit). This is not being “negative”, it’s being honest so that others know what they are truly in for if they choose to work here.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and do not punish them for trying to bring about helpful changes. Do not project an atmosphere of fear mongering. Inform employees when major changes are taking place instead of giving the impression that all company information is sensitive. Have workshops to improve communication and basic computer skills. Include employees in meetings that pertain to them.

I worked at NBN Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Coworkers were nice to work with.

    Cons

Very nasty upper "management". Everything you do is micromanaged. They talk down to you. They will scold at you in the hall and completely try and embarrass you (when in reality, they are the ones looking like the fool). Very rude. Childish behavior. Spoiled brat managers. Unprofessional. Spiteful. Disrespectful. Insulting. Degrading. Suspicious of everyone. No trust in the employees they HIRE. (And no, I am not... a disgruntled employee, these are just truths.) Mostly all the positive reviews on the site are from managers trying to do damage control. Employees have been asked to leave positive reviews. If owner is having a bad day she will take it out on EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE. It's so nasty. All her aggression is put on the kind employees. High turnover. Everyone wants out. They treat grown adults like children. Some employees have to send an email EVERYDAY of what they will be doing. They are there WORKING for YOU. Why do you think they come in everyday 8:30-5! To work. They act like you're doing something else all the time. God forbid you talk to someone. You'll get scolded. You'll have the owner creep up behind you and ask you EMBARRASSING questions like "What are you talking about?" comments made such as "Oh, you must not be busy". PEOPLE COMMUNICATE. That's how you build positive morale. This is not a slave camp. You're expecting to sit at your desk the entire day and NOT MOVE and DONT SPEAK! Because if you are, thats gossiping and you must need more work. When you put notice in to leave, they will completely ignore you (even though you worked for them for all that time. Very rude, disrespectful, and childish) Save your sanity. Management makes it stressful for no reason at all. " Champions of Caring", yet they treat their employees like trash. Disgraceful

Advice is for ones willing to work on and change their attitudes and behavior. Why would I waste my time when nothing will ever change? No advice.

    I worked at NBN Group

    Pros

I worked there for 16 years. One raise since 1999. No opportunity for growth or promotion. Supervisors are more concerned about covering themselves and have no idea how to trouble shoot or respond to a problem. Worked with many good nurses but they've all left.

    Cons

The last two years were the worst. Its a shame because they act as if they care but they don't. I tell everyone who asks what I went through there and people say how can you not get a raise. Or gas money. Or bonuses. Or recognition when you passed milestones and anniversary. So happy now I'm away from that horrible place. I remember when it was great to work there. No sense of team player or respect. Please... don't believe these positive reviews. There are so many places to work that are professional and helpful to your career. This place is a sweat shop for new graduates. If you need the experience fine but don't complain or they will not give you a decent referral. Don't chit chat with anyone from the office. They are not your friends. Take it from me. I know. Been there. Done that.

    Advice to Management

Please take a class or get a degree in human resources, psychology...and look at how you treat people. Would you like someone to backstab you and be so vicious and cruel? What in your life happened to you to make you so vindictive.

I worked at NBN Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The employees are scanned so vigorously that most of the other employees are great people stuck in a terrible situation.

    Cons

All these negative reviews are 100% ACCURATE. The owner is psychotic. She wanders around watching everyone convinced they're breaking her policies that weren't a policy the day before. You'll get an "oral" warning which is typed up and kept in your file for breathing too loud or saying hi to another employee. ANYTHING. The recruiters are forced into telling you what a great place to work it is, but they push... everyone to the brink constantly and I saw entire departments leave while working there. Most people have kids and are stuck there. Family members do whatever they want, come and go as they please even are PAID IN FULL TO HAVE THE WHOLE SUMMER OFF. (NOT TO MENTION THEY CHEW YOUR EARS OFF ABOUT THEIR KIDS EVERY TIME YOU SEE THEM) The benefits are not affordable. $370 a month for a single person (PLUS A $5,000 deductible.) The owner was lying to the insurance company about how many people worked there and now the employees are paying for it. ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FROM THE LIFERS AND MINIONS. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!! IF THEY CALL YOU, HANG UP OR RUN!!!!
